Books
So, what's new with me? Not a lot. I've been sleeping, watching my soaps, and reading. Actually, probably the one good thing about being off from work and having no life is that I've had time to do a lot more reading. And not just romance novels, but real books and good ones.
Taela's become my supplier, since she's a book addict and we have similar tastes. We don't like all the same things--she bigger on horror and sci-fi than I am and I'm more of a romantic, but there's a large middle ground, usually of the fantasy, supernatural, romantic variety.
One series of book that she leant me and I've become addicted to is the Women of the Otherworld series by Kelly Armstrong. It's an awesome series of books where werewolves, witches, and sorcerers are real and the dead still have lives. Since I'm doing a horrible job explaining, check out her website for information on the books plus lots of great extras.
Another book that Taela leant me that I loved and I do mean loved was Enchanted Inc. This is one of the best books I've read in a really long time. I loved everthing about it, even if the ending was a tiny bit of a letdown, but that was to be expected since there's a sequel coming (though not for a whole year--sigh).
Basically the book is about a very ordinary woman who discovers a very unordinary world and discoveres that sometiems being ordinary is the best thing to be. To learn more about the book go to the author's website.
