Gilmore Girls

I started watching The Gilmore Girls about two years ago, near the beginning of Season Four and I loved it. I had seen a few episodes here and there, but didn't get hooked until then. From then on it became one of my favourite shows.

I loved the fifth season as much as the fourth, until the end. Suddenly, things started to go down a bad route. I was annoyed by the season finale, but I assumed that htings would get better once the new season started.

Not so. Six epsiodes in and I'm becoming more and more turned off each week. It's gotten to the point that the last few weeks, characters that I've never particularly liked were amongst the few that didn't irritate the Hell out of me. What is going on and what are the powers that be doing to my favourite characters?

I used to love Lorelai and Rory and now tehy both annoy me. I still love Luke, but he and Lorelai are really boring these days. Get engaged and all the magic dies, or at least that's how it feels. Bring back the L/L magic, please? Either that, or bring back Christopher--because at least the show was itneresting when he was messing up things for L/L.

Last season I also adored Rory and Logan. I thoguht that they were adorable and that he was good for her. That started changing near the end of the season, but I figured it was only a small road block and they'd go back to being adorable. Not so. In fact, he makes my skin crawl and I kinda hate her for being with him.

Logan's friends also annoy the Hell out of me. Colin always bugged me, so this is no surprise. Though, I do truly loathe him now, even more so thatn I loathee Logan. But I once adored Finn and now I find him irriating as well.

Seriously, it's gettign to the point where Paris is one of the least annoying characters. I'm serious. All the characters have gone seriously downhill over the last little while and I find it sad.

Gilmore Girls
used to be funny and charming and endearing. It had great characters and great relationships, so what in the Hell happened? When did this show start to suck and how can we please, please force the writer's to get it back on track?

Please, I'm begginign here. Bring back the Gilmore Girls that I know and love. Please, before I'm forced to abandon this series.

Please.

Stupid Sales People

If there is one thing I truly hate, it's condescention or patrinization. Yes, I'm young (though, not as young as I used to be), and female, but I'm not stupid. Really.

Yesterday, I was in the Scarborough Town Centre, looking at a display on cell phones. I was tempted to buy one, since I do need one. However that temptation vanished in about ten seconds.

The clerk was patronizing as all Hell. Referring to me as "honey" (which I hate, no matter who you are) and assuming that I didn't know anything and even asking if there was "someone" I needed to consult with. Like I'm not capable of making a decision all on my own.

I don't mind salespeople who are trying to do their job, aka. selling you something. I don't mind the ones who honestly want to help. However, I do take offence to the ones who treat me like an idiot.

While I'm big on the impulse buys, I do have a price limit for such purchases and a cellphone is a little over and above. Since, I'm planning on buying one, I have thought out my options and I do know a bit about cell phones (considering where I'm working a the moment, I'd have too). So, I don't need to be treated like I'm either a child or an idiot. I'm neither.

Needless to say, I didn't buy a cell phone yesterday. The sales guy, just totally turned me off of the idea and I walked away. I'll buy my cell phone elsewhere, from someone who doesn't treat me like I'm a brainless idiot just because I have breasts.

That's not to be said, that all sales people are like that. Most aren't. Lots are helpful and friendly, without being patronizing or insulting. Those are the people I like to deal with and this guy was not one of them.

Well, that's my rant for the day.
