Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (no spoilers)

I've finished reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and I have to talk about it. But I didn't to do it here since I know a lot of you guys haven't read the book yet. So go here for my first thoughts after reading the book.

What I will say here is that it was a good book and that I liked it a lot more than I liked Order of the Phoenix.

See, I'm being good, I'm getting venting out in a spot where it can't bother anyone who doesn't want to be bothered.

Though, I will admit that was mainly so my friends didn't hunt me down and murder me for spoiling the book for them...

Hockey's Back

So there's finally an end to the NHL lockour. It only took them 301 days, cost them a season and bored many people to tears.

I wonder if there was anyone still caring by the time the lockout ended. I mean, I'm thrilled that it's over and I'll have my hockey again next season, but even I'd given up following what was going on with the lockout.

For the first 3 or 4 months, I still checked the paper every day, watched my sports news, eagerly awaiting some word. I was optimistic and thought it could be wrapped up soon and we'd still get part of a season.

After the first 4 or so months that optimism faded and I had to admit the season was lost, but I still thought it could be wrapped up at some point. So I still chekced the paper every week or so and tuned into Sportsnet News every so often, just in case.

Finally about a month ago, I just got really fed up and stopped caring. Thus, I stopped keeping an eye on how things were going. Meg had to tell me that there was a deal, since I had just tuned myself out to anything containing the word 'hockey'.

Now, it's over at last. I'm releived. I can't wait to have hockey back next year. But mainly I"m glad it's over because I'm sick of hearing about the stupid lockout.

Who's with me on that?
